Milan-Orio al Serio Airport


Caravaggio International Airport Bergamo-Orio al Serio, known as Milano-Orio al Serio, is Italy’s 4th in terms of passenger numbers, with more than 5 million passengers per year, and the first for low-cost flight passengers.Located in the municipality of Orio al Serio, it is 5 km from the centre of Bergamo and 50 km from the centre of Milan. There are frequent public and private bus services between the airport and Bergamo, Milan and Brescia. A direct shuttle bus runs from the bus station in Bergamo every half hour (bus line 1C) and takes 10-15 minutes to reach the airport in light traffic conditions; one way ticket costs 5 euro.  Shuttle bus services leave from Milan Central rail station every half hour, run by Autostradale, Terravision and Orioshuttle and the journey takes 50-60 minutes; they all cost 5 euro per one way ticket. There is no rail link to the airport. The nearest exits from the A4 Milan-Venice motorway are those for Bergamo or Seriate.

Orio al Serio has 5,400 car parking spaces: 1000 of these are under cover, and park no. 2 is reserved for passengers of tour operators. Inside the Terminal there are shops, restaurants, banks, a VIP lounge, a left luggage office, a church and a pharmacy. A shopping complex, Orio Center, is linked to the airport via a subway.
