The Steam Factory (La Fabbrica del Vapore in Italian) is a cultural centre designed to showcase the work of young and creative artists, connected with Milan City Council. Workshops, events and seminars are organised for young Milanese to get them into contact with art, design, architecture, new media, photography, literature and also to discover new languages.
A full annual calendar of cultural exhibitions is offered every day. The Steam Factory describes itself as a place where new experiences and ideas come together. It is a space open to creativity, but at the same time connected to the city.
There are already some well established workshops located in the building but it’s designed to be a meeting point between experienced business operators and young talented people. They will collaborate to produce new ideas.
Thousands of square metres are dedicated to activities, experimenting, developing and researching. The Steam Factory is giving young people the opportunity to be more well known both nationally and internationally.
